Regardless of who we are and what we do, we are surrounded by daily digital threats and risks. As employees, we also become the digital gateway to our organization's assets. Roar Thon from the Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM) provides insight into what Norwegian private and public organizations face and how we can best protect ourselves and the companies we work for. Roar will also reflect on the challenges that are relevant in the role of PA/EA/executive support.

Roar Thon is the Director of Professional Development at the Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM), where he has been employed since 2003. He has a background in the military and the police. Roar is a key communicator of security in Norway and an award-winning security advisor and speaker. With over 2,000 presentations in NSM’s service, he is likely one of the country’s most sought-after speakers.

In 2012, Roar was awarded the ITAKT* prize for his commitment and ability to communicate security. In 2018, he was awarded the OSPA** prize as the year’s "Outstanding Security Consultant."
