Welcome to IMA South Africa Connecting You to a Global Professional Network! About International Management Assistants (IMA) is a global network dedicated to management support professionals. Established in 1974, IMA has been connecting management assistants worldwide for the last 50 years. With a strong international presence, IMA connects over 1,300 members across more than 20 countries, cultivating a diverse and dynamic community of professionals. IMA South Africa NPC, established in 2018 with just 11 members, has grown to proudly represent a thriving network of 80 members across South Africa and the African continent. IMA South Africa NPC is registered as a Non-Profit Company (NPC) in South Africa (2017/585475/08). The Association is a non-political, self-development organization and refrains from engaging in political or trade-union activities. Global & National Governance The IMA Council serves as the consultative and policy-making body, shaping the Association’s strategic vision, while the Executive Committee is responsible for implementing decisions and managing daily operations. IMA members play an active role in influencing the Association’s direction by participating in the Annual General Meetings (AGMs)—both at the global and national levels. Each Member Country has an elected National Committee that oversees the administration and operations of its National Group, ensuring that initiatives and activities align with IMA’s mission and values.
