The IMA Council serves as the consultative and policy-making body, guiding the Association's strategic vision. The Executive Committee acts as the executive arm, implementing decisions and managing day-to-day operations. Elected National Committees oversee the daily administration and operations of the National Groups (in each country), ensuring alignment of initiatives and activities with our mission and values. Meet the current national committee and previous national chairs of IMA South Africa NPC here. Sonia Vanular Sonia Vanular, the founder of the European Association of Professional Secretaries (EAPS, now IMA - International Management Assistants), was a pioneer in her field. Despite her law degree and passing the British Bar in 1956—a remarkable feat for a woman of her time—she chose to use her exceptional secretarial skills while travelling the globe. Sonia's visionary leadership laid the foundation for countless professional assistants who owe their success to her determination and foresight. EAPS, born from her dream, became her life's work—a legacy she dedicated 50 years to nurturing and protecting. In honour of Sonia's contribution and impact, IMA has established the Sonia Vanular Fund. Discover more about the fund and her legacy here. |
