Britannia Hotel - IMA Norway Business Members |
The historic Britannia Hotel in Trondheim re-opened in April 2019, following a three-year, $160 million top-to-toe refurbishment. It became a member of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World network the same year, fully equipped with six bars and restaurants, a modern and luxurious spa and fitness department, plus state-of-the art conference facilities. Opened in 1870, the hotel has 152 years’ experience of hospitality. Indeed, Britannia’s origin story is that it was established to provide a little slice of luxury for travelling British gentlemen and women (hence the name), who came thousands of miles to fish the region’s legendary rivers. The hotel’s founder produced a sign which read “We speak English and we serve tea at 5pm”. Alas, the sign is no longer with us, but the commitment to great hospitality remains. |
With 224 rooms and suites, all equipped with beds by legendary Swedish bedmakers Hästens, and à la carte breakfast served in the hotel’s iconic palm court, Palmehaven, as standard, Britannia is the all-inclusive destination for your next board meeting, conference or incentive trip.
